About This Product

Bob's Red Mill Organic Quick Cooking Rolled Oats aren’t pre-cooked like instant oats. They're freshly milled from the highest quality whole grain organic oats. To shorten the cooking time, quick cooking oats are rolled thinner than other types of oats. 

Oats are a good source of soluble fiber, and many believe they offer multiple health benefits. They contain beta-glucans, a special type of fiber that attaches to cholesterol and helps remove it from the body. Beta-glucans may protect against heart disease and are thought to help regulate blood sugar levels. 

Bob’s Red Mill Organic Quick Cooking Oats make a delicious and healthy whole grain "instant oatmeal" alternative to the little packets other brands offer, without the preservatives and sugar. Get a container, measure out enough oats for the week, and add in chia seeds, flaxseed meal, dried fruit, nuts and seeds! In the morning, scoop out a serving’s worth, add hot water, and let sit for about 5 minutes. 

Bob’s Red Mill oats are also a great addition to “green thickies”-type smoothies (nutrient-dense meal replacements packed full of green veggies).

Directions Of Use

Cooking Instructions:

For a really delicious breakfast cereal for two, bring 2 cups water and 1/4 tsp. salt (optional) to a boil. Add 1 cup of rolled oats, reduce heat and cook for 1 to 5 minutes (time depending on the consistency that you like your cereal) stirring occasionally. Cover, remove from heat and let stand a few minutes. Serve with honey and milk and a big smile!

Microwave Instruction:

In large bowel, combine 1/2 cup Bob's Red Mill Organic Quick Oats and 1 cup water. Cover and microwave on high for 2 to 3 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes. Makes 1 serving.
